Inmiddels al de nodige facelifts verder, maar ik kan er nog niet aan wennen dat Maseratie Diesels verkoopt. Toch is dit een groot succes. Er rijden er veel van rond. Dit speciefieke exemplaar is op 1 februari op kenteken gezet en is 16 februari voor het eerst gespot. Destijds een primeur van dit mode. In die tijd zijn pas 6 unieke exemplaar gespot.

I'm using Google Translate, but as far as I understand, you're saying the facelift is overdue, and I'm puzzled.
All their cars (GT, Ghibli, Levante, QP) had both an exterior and an interior facelift in 2017 and 2018.
They also had mechanical modifications (for example engine upgrades, electrically assisted steering replaced hydraulic assisted one) in order to accommodate new autonomous driving tech features.

Hi @bnj2 What it actually does say is that after all those facelift of this model I still can't used to the fact Maserati uses Diesel. This facelift looks great!

Yeah, I don't know why they bothered with diesel cars, they sell only a couple of thousand diesel cars, and almost all of them in Europe, and they ruined the image. Just like the very cheap base cars with plastic instead of leather and underpowered engines they sell in the USA.

@bnj2 Dutch is an incredible hard language. Even for Google translate haha.
Maserati did a good job to put diesel in the Gihbli and QP though. They where financially struggling and the diesel really changed all of that.
I hope there will be a supercar again anytime soon.

@hardstyler It wasn't a good job using diesel engines, it changed nothing in terms of profit.
Maserati sold 50-60k cars worldwide in the past couple of years, around 7k cars in Europe. Out of those cars, only about 2500 were diesels. That is less than 5% of the total cars sold.
They ruined the image for very very little profit.
